Community Service Project: Capes for Kids -

Invite your residents, staff, family members, and friends to participate in this very special community service project. Capes for Kids is a program (under the Enchanted Makeovers organization which is headquartered in Michigan) that spreads love and support to children living in shelters. The idea behind it is a simple one: children feel empowered when they put on a cape, and they grasp the message that a superhero resides inside of them!

Participating in this project can provide a true sense of self value knowing you

are helping a child, and it is an extremely uplifting and rewarding group experience.

Your participants will be provided with a cape to decorate with fabric markers and stencils.

Includes:

4 Vinyl Capes to decorate

2 Boxes of Fabric Markers  (10 per box)

4  Stencils to help with your design (although free-hand drawing and writing is encouraged)

Eat Your Words - A fun, wacky, unique, and quick-thinking word game.

Includes 3 decks of character cards: Pickles, Carrots, and Bananas. The player or team to collect the most cards at the end of the game (Pickles, Carrots and Bananas) wins.

Players shout out answers to a clue . . . but here’s the catch: , the answer must start with the first letter of the character on the card being read, and must be followed by that character. So, if a pickle card is chosen, and the clue on the card is, “what is a young dog called?”,  the answer must start with a “P” (for pickle), and end with the word pickle. In this case, the answer is puppy, pickle! Sounds easy??? . . . but it gets tricky!
