An activity closet can be a great way to provide your clients with an assortment of curated games, crafts, and puzzles. You can treat your Activity Closet as a lending library of leisure activities. Instructions will be included with hints to use and modify.
Crafts:
Paint with Water -
For those with middle-later stage dementia
Watch pictures appear as you paint water over the blank sheets. Chat about the pictures. (Can be used over and over as pictures disappear in about 20 minutes.)

Art Dice Game, Drawing Pad for Art Dice Game, EcoGrip Colored Pencils 12-pack-
For those without dementia or those with early stage dementia
A unique game combining dice and art that helps players connect to their creative side! Includes ten 12-sided dice with a word prompt on each side, instructions for 18 ways to use the dice, 1 sketch pad, and 1 12-pack of easy-grip colored pencils.
One version: Create a sketch including as many of the word prompts as possible.Take a point for each word used. Try solo or against an opponent.

Includes 2 sets of color-coded cards: blue card come with a 3 word expression with the last word missing. Green cards have a common phrase with a missing word. Players / teams try to fill in the missing word.
Instructions include variations on how to play for an enjoyable time socializing and chatting.

Assistex Picture Book -
For those with middle-later stage dementia
This colorful picture book revolving around a specific relatable theme is a wonderful way to encourage conversation, reminiscing, and socialization.
Some books may include a simple explanation at the bottom of the page written in large bold print, however in general reading is not required.

Shut the Box -
For those without dementia
A classic game with a 2-person board, but can be played solo, against an opponent, or on teams. Roll the dice to eliminate numbers. The player with the lowest score wins that round. Strategy and luck in one game!

The Rank Game -
For those without dementia, or those with early stage dementia
Players guess in order (most to least favorite) the preferred choice of the “Ranker” from a chosen topic card. Great as an ice-breaker . . . or to see how well you really know someone!

Match Madness -
For those without dementia or those with early stage dementia
Be the first to arrange your set of 5 large rectangular blocks to match the pattern on a flipped card. A brain-teasing race against opponents, but can be played in a slower version.

Tile Tango -
For those with early-middle stage dementia
Players match their tiles to a pattern shown on a “match card”. Three different levels of play including: match colors only, patterns only, or both. Can enjoy solo or competition style.

A cross between a matching game and bingo! Players turn over picture cards in their game grid when those pictures match a card flipped from a deck. The first player to complete the pre-determined pattern wins that round.

Be the first player or team to create a timeline of 10 event cards in chronological order. Includes 858 events spanning over 2,000 years to test your knowledge or lucky guessing!

Chipzi -

Be the first player (or team) to find and collect 7 chips of one category. For example: same color, same number, descending order, etc. Everyone plays at the same time.
